Hey! Hey! Hey! Been some time since I blogged. Been so busy that I can literally fall asleep once I touched my back on the bed.

Anywayz, this weekend is one of the rare occasions I actually get a breather, so I decided to do a MASSIVE CLEAN UP for my desktop. Well, my PC caught a trojan, so what the heck... might as well just do a full format since the performance of the PC was going down the hill anywayz.

And after I've recovered all of my programs on my PC, actually went to decorate my desktop. And here's how it turns out. :D

Anywayz, just playing around.. even went to customize my login screens and startup screen XD Really liked the results it turns out.. Hmm time to get a new screensaver.

New Yamaha Keyboard!

I've just bought myself a new Digital Keyboard for myself to use as a tool for my piano lessons that I recently took up!

It was pretty cool and I had a lot of fun fiddling with all of its settings and the keyboard sound samples. Been a long while since I'm so excited about something great for myself. Almost as if I'm ready to rock myself out of this world.

Now that I have my own instruments to play, it's like one major item being checked off the list of things I have to do for my life. And the next step.... improve and live my dream... To be a musician.

And on top of that, I was surprised with my mum's reaction to my new keyboard. She was happy that I'm buying something useful for myself and she let me know about something that I was even more surprised about her is that she always loved people who are able to play piano and hoped for me to work hard for my aims and dreams.

In the past, my mum used to be disapproving of what I love to do for music and any other stuffs that I used to do for anything that had to do with art. Hence I never got a chance to go for any music, vocal, drama or even arts lessons whenever there was an opportunity that came up. Because of how financially burdened my family used to be and as a result, performance art was deemed as something that couldn't fetch any bread for our family. As time goes, the passion for it dies down.. in a sense... it took another direction and I ended up as a designer instead.

But in the recent years, I've rekindled my passion for music again and seeing as I'm able to fend for myself, I've decided to devote more of my own money and efforts to start myself out as a musician.

It's pretty sad that now I'm starting really late compared to those much younger and talented musicians out there. So seeing this change of heart of my mum has actually encouraged me further that I should not give up despite me starting late as a musician.

As I've always believed that there's no limit to who can learn new things, I shouldn't be defeated by this and focus more on honing my own musical skills so that I can stand on the same stage as those other artistes out there, and share my own style of music and tell stories that I've longed wanted to tell.

And as of right now, this is going to be a new phase to my plans for my future.

Now working in another place after I left my previous work place, there are a lot more things that I need to learn and experiment all on my own efforts. It is something that I've been yearning to learn but a tad bit discouraging when I've tried and failed for so many times.

Knowing how to design is very different from learning to design and tell a story with a concept. It's like singing without a soul; technically proficient but yet lacking the feeling to make the song real. It takes so much more to be able to feel and grasp the gist of a concept before anything else can be done.

It's a good thing that I get to realise this after being so long as a designer to understand this (sounds like i'm a failure, but it's better late than never right?) Or else... I couldn't even go far at all striving to be in the industry...

Hey guys, nice to be back and sorry for the lull period of blogging. Too much is happening and been too busy to blog about the happenings.

Been wondering over the course of the past month. One of these common behaviours I observe about the human beings (sorry for speaking as if i'm an alien). Procrastination. People will usually find reasons to hold of things and bluff their way through to make themselves feel better.. Me included.

Part of me has done it lots of times but am also guilty when I've realised what I've done... Hmmmmm.... Should I protect myself for my own happiness or should I be more giving to the others?

Hey People, long time no blog here.

Was staying over at my girlfriend's house. We found out that there is another disorder along the line of Dyslexia.

That particular disorder would be the Dyscalculia

Contrary to those who are dyslexic, inability to read, Dyscalculia is the inability to learn and comprehend mathematics. Read on the articles from Wikipedia if you want to know more.

It's pretty amazing how we have a lot of disorders discovered as we advance in time. Are we mutating? Or are we devolving back to an amoeba?

Been thinking over the past few days. There are a lot of stuffs happening in my surrouding. Happy, Sad, Angry, Irritations... you name it.

So far I'm feeling as though I've been trying to give out all of the positive aura that I have that the negativity in me is what's left... and worse... it is building up in me.

But this is life. No! I'm not resigning to it. I'm just tired sometimes to confront the various issues that are always surfacing. But eventually, when you procrastinate, it gets awfully worse as time stales. No matter what I do, I can't run away from it forever. Time only travels forward. Happy or sad, the clock is always ticking.

If I were to procrastinate further, letting the negativity build in me... I'd definitely explode. It's time to look for an outlet.

Maybe it's time to start dreaming and yearning again, and not to simply be led by time itself. At least, I can say that I led my remaining time of my life as a happy dude looking forward to something if I do that, rather than always looking back at the past and dwell in the agony of despair.

Booo~ The work pace has gone up fast that it feels like project timelines are starting to clash and clogged up with tasks to do every day, now even me and the colleagues have to stay late at night.

It's one of the days that I hate man. If projects are clogging up, I'd better start being a squeaky wheel and KP about my need for assistance. Or i should just leave and look for a better place... Damn.... but my current work place has a very warm and cosy environment, but the work schedule spoils the fun for me.

Will I be able to grab another relevant job for myself that has what the current situation has to offer (minus the huge arse schedules)??

Interior Designer now?

Recently my boss accepted a project to campaign for a jewellery retailer. One of the project besides designing its adverts involve conceptualising of the look and feel of its shop and creating the power point slides to it.

So me, my art director and our copywriter sat down with boss to discuss on the contents for the slides. It turns out that we need to use 3D Studio Max to create the interior design for the shop.

Wow! We are now interior designers!

So there we go with the conceptualising and sketching. And here's the look of the interior of the shop.

Well I can't show the store front since it's not really right to display it.

It's really funny that we have to do so many stuff that's not really related to what the company's supposed to do.

Guess the boss wanna do something new for a change.

Oh well... If he does decide to go into interior design, it's time to start looking for new jobs.

This week turns out good for me, I'm able to multitask and churn out 3 finished product and working on a website idea that I conceptualize on my own.

Wish that this momentum shall remain stuck to me as long as it shall. Even after I change my job after getting my crucial 2 years experience... Which is an annoying fact that people out there are using as one of their criteria before they employ.

Speaking of which, it's a little disappointing that one of my friend has recently expressed his fear of losing his grip and lose his job in the process. Have a heart to heart talk with him and my own experience when I was experiencing what I'd call a designer's burnout, and almost lost my job once.

I have shared my own experience with him and hopefully that I'd be able to help him pull himself together again and recover from all of his blunders he made and move on.

Woo! I'm now posting this piece of my thought in a rather mentally fatigue (in a good way) state. Be checking back soon. In the mean time, you guys stay cool.

Recently me and my girl were walking around Orchard Road, opposite Tangs Shopping Centre and then we saw a teenage male holding up a big sign "FREE HUGS". That's something you'd never see especially along the streets of Singapore.

Well I didn't really went to get my hug, since I've already got someone to hold on to... but this is something that touches my heart. Human touch is the most amazing thing that we can give. Come to think of it, it might be a good idea to simply let go of the pretentious masks that we have to put on just to get our job done, and give out some care and concern to others instead. In the long run, you'll get your own comfort as well. Pretty easy thing to do with so much rewards, spiritually and emotionally, that everyone's finding it hard to.

It's time to think again, people.

To Board or Not to Board

Wow guys, it's me again after my last entry for aeons ago. Yeah~ Been really busy lately and added to the fact that i'm rather lazy and was engrossed with my online RPG character in World of Warcraft, I've not been up online to blog.

Yeah well, sometimes things does get really routinal and makes you forget about how many other things can spice up your life. Recently, I've went on an outing with my fellow poly mates to the IT show at Suntec City.

Nuff Said.

After squeezing through torrents of the human traffic, one of my friends managed to give me a call before his battery went flat. While roaming the whole area swarming through the pack, we decided to wait for our friend outside of the hall.

Just as we decided to leave, he pops up! Talk about fate huh.

Anywayz, we went for dinner and then proceeded to Pitstop Cafe at Circular Road. You can check out their web blog @ this address.

Going up the stairs of the shop house, there we can see a slide door. As you step into the cafe, the smell of robust coffee and fried finger food greets you before you see photographs of their past patrons all plastered on their wall.

Reunion with the fellow Poly Friends

There wasn't much time to actually sit down to blog about some of the events that went through over the weeks.

And the one I should definitely mark would be the recent chalet I went to.

It's been as long as 3 years since I met these familiar faces since the poly years. How reminiscing it gets when me and my dear attended the chalet.

I was actually worried I might actually not be able to glue well to the whole thing, but turns out I'm able to blend in with the guys around, familiar faces or not. I'd very much say it's a really successful chalet. the 20+ of us were actually able to interact and talked about almost anything, including gossips and stuff.

There're a lot stuffs I got the opportunity to know about over this section. Everyone. And here are some of the pictures from the chalet.

Procrastinating myself

Been having a tough week in work. I'm being prone to screw ups for the whole week. Just doesn't feel right. I get a feeling it's me and my attitude that needs more work again.

Is it me not being as open-minded to changes that I thought I am that's causing all this unnecessary negative feelings I seems to be channeling through?

This may sound like I'm being a childish person. Perhaps I just need to vent and I'm still a child as I am. I still need to grow up more before I'm ready to take in all this issues coming in and out of my feelings.

It can get so overwhelming, that it's so tight in the chest that I can't breathe well.

Discipline. Much needed it myself.

Deal Or No Deal

Yesterday night, my colleague invited us to watch a game show recording at MediaCorp. In the end the rest of them were busy, and just nice I'm done with my work for the day, I went along.

That night is actually the last recording for a new game show in Singapore, Deal Or No Deal. In this game, hosted by Adrian Pang, contestants get a chance to win price money, ranging from $1, YES! 1 FRIGGING DOLLAR, to a whoopee sum of $250,000.

Contestants needs to choose 1 briefcase out of 26 from 26 beautiful models. Inside each briefcase contains a certain sum of money ranging from $1 to $250,000. As for the briefcase the contestant chose, will be the one that determines how much the contestant actually wins. From here, the contestant will then keep on picking the rest of cases to eliminate the possibly of getting low cash. As less boxes remains... the stakes are getting higher. Not to mention, there's a banker in a dark room will try to solicit the contestant to deal with him after every round of box opening.

The lesser the boxes remains. More anxiety to the whole recording set. I shan't tell much further. It's best to watch it on tv at 13th May.

Hmm... There's been a lot of stuffs piled up for me to attend to, there wasn't much time to actually sit down, log in and blog here.

What's going on for this whole week? Mostly together with my sweetheart. That last week was her dad's and her birthday. Her dad's birthday came just a few days before my sweetie's. Her sis organised a buffet dinner outing on the last weekend.

Boy her family members are an interest lot. Seeing how they teased one another. The warmth that I felt is so genuine, I actually haven't felt like this for quite some time now. Loved that wonderful night and thanks to my dear, I get to know her and her family more.

I got her a webcam for her birthday present, now we can talk and look at each other, even while we're at home!!! This is cool man. Though I need to get blue tacs to hold my webcam still on top of my monitor. Heh!

Besides these, one of my coolest family member from the LS group also got married! Aw... to think our most vulgar and alpha female of our group, Judy, is the first to get married. *sob* These are tears of joy for you.

As our Lao Da is the make-shift photographer for that day on the 20th April, also our Judy's birthday on that day, can we say it's a double dose of joy for her?

Aww.... seeing you tearing up and all in front of the ROM registrar, and upon seeing our gift for her, makes me understand one thing that bonds are one of the best things to happen to all human beings around.

Recently my colleague gave me a link to a blogspot. It looks like an ordinary teenage girl's little blog site until.... you notice the blog title and it says, Lao Zha Bo (meaning 'old lady' in hokkien).

Well, she's also featured in the New Paper along with many other old folks.

This is the last thing you'll expect from the fellow senior citizens. Even my sensei has a blog too. I guess, the things that stop oneself from being able to learn and improve, will be due to their unwillingness to accept new changes and the fear to ask questions, due to the ego.

It's how sad when you see some people says, 'I'm old already, I don't think I can pick this up.' kinds of things. Obviously some other people can achieve what they want. Haiz...

An Eventful Week Part 2

Not just this, I also celebrated a sweet birthday with my dear and also another fun and yet crazy one with my Liang Shan fellows.

We usually had our birthday celebrations for people whose birthday falls the current month. This month, March, we have 2 birthday people, me and another beautiful lady, Huiting. She's on March 7, while I'm on March 20.

We met up on Friday evening at Billy Bombers @ Cathay Building (LOL I actually forgot what it's called, it's near the Plaza Singapura). Here's some shot of us in the restaurant:

An eventful week

Wow the past week has been a crazy ride. From attending a Triumph Fashion Show to being locked up by boss in the pantry area when everyone's gone home. No joke, I did get locked up by boss in the pantry area without any means to contact people at the end of the day.

Anywayz, first, our client Triumph has invited us over to a Fashion show of their... underwear. Too bad I can't take any pictures while in the runway, but I did managed to take some shots right at the reception area.

Becoming... ... ... an OLD MAN!!!!

Since last friday, I'm getting aches and sores on my lower back, near the kidney areas. Thought nothing of it until just Monday morning, I couldn't get up due to the intense pain that shot through my whole waist area (if I have any).

Seeing as being a diabetic, this is rather a chilling call for me. Could it be Kidney disease? Yeah, so I tried to wash up and grab some cash to go see the doctor. Took me about 15 minutes just to get up and 5 minutes to wash up and 30 minutes to trail down the stairs and limp my way to the doc, which is just further down my block, like a typical arthritis afflicted old man. Guess I'm catching a glimpse of what's to come in half a century later.

Bleh.... So I finally got to the doc and waited for my turn. Ding~ there I go, after some touchy feely by the doctor, adjusting my postures and stuffs and me responding, ouch ouch ouch ouch~ the doc says I'm suffering from a bad case muscle strain on my lower back.

Phew~ I am sort of relieved to hear this piece of news. But the days to come will be me walking around like a frail old man. Unsightly!

Date After A Shagged Week...

Both my sweetie and I were walking around after we met up to celebrate my birthday. Had sandwiches at the TCC, Funan Centre. We thought we could make it in time to check out the shops upstairs for the IP phones she wants but alas, the shops are closed at nine.

What the heck?!

So there we are... walking among the closed or closing shops. Eventually, we went to the ground floor to find some place to sit and chat. But both of our eyes are gonna be closed shut soon. It's so bad, we had to call it an early night.

Boy am I so embarrased as i couldn't keep myself together, trying to fight my lethargy. So sorry we had to go so early, I owe you this one sweetheart.

As my title says it all, don't go on a date when you're totally psyched out of your work week. You'll get too lethargic to do stuffs together. :P
