One - U2

OMG! Finally found a version without Mary J. Blige (I like her but just that this song is best left without R&B influence with it)

Lyrics

Monday, Bloody Monday... again.

Hmmm. It's a week's long holiday and thinking of getting my arse back to work isn't really an encouraging thought to begin with.

With the start of the coming week, I foresee more stuffs are gonna get crazier and crazier. So much that it hurts.

Anyway, I won't be needing no shrink at this moment in time. It's part and parcel in life. So like I said, I gotta buck up and get ready for more things to come. Maybe I should treat this like a game of dodge ball. Tackle all problems and dodge those stupid things that might happen along the way.

Till then, God Speed!

Shoot the Dog - George Michael

Controversy? Daring? Plain out funny?

Lyrics

Touched Down Safely Back Home

Phew~ Actually that was two days ago. Wahaha! Got too lazy to blog about the trip.

Anyway it's pretty normal when you get to Bangkok since it's mostly a huge shopping district. And you could imagine how excited my mum and sis would get as they get down to the streets after we checked into the hotel.

Took quite a bit of photos with my camera phone though but haven't yet to download it. And yes, I'm lazy to do so at the moment.

I'll try to blog a more detailed version of my trip to Thailand soon with pictures~

--------------------

Besides this, I went with my sweetie to view the fireworks at the Esplanade Park on one cool Saturday night. Went to pick her up at about 5PM at SIM after her lessons end. Gave her the two tops I bought for her over at Thailand and made our way to City Hall. Brought her to "New York2" (that restaurant that sells one huge a$$ burger) for our dinner.

Sharing the seafood platter and the floats, we took our time until it's near 9PM. You gotta love the time spent together with your beloved.

As we made our way over to the park for the fireworks. We came across a night bazaar. And this is something that we did while crusing through the horde of people.

LOL I love it when she goes. "I don't like you licking my hand! Go away!" when the python turned its head over to her hands and started to lick her hand. Pretty hilarious for me.

Shortly after, we reached the park and quickly settled down in a small corner listening to the band gigging right next to us. Nice music but weak vocals... though it's still nice for the whole ambience of the place albeit the crowd is there. We played around with her camera, fiddling at it, experimented with different settings and took some pictures of ourselves.

Omigosh! I need to lose weight....................................

Anyhow! We took a video of the fireworks instead since we figured it's better to keep it in motion:

Beauty in a fleeting moment.

Once the fireworks are done, we made our way to the TCC at Citilink mall to chill out and bought a couple of books for ourselves on the way there.

Chatting until 11pm, we parted our ways returning home with sweet memories. Perfect way of ending a night.

That's all I'll blog for now.

Till then, God Speed.

One hilarious bit! Watch on.

You're All That I Have - Snow Patrol

For all you loving people around!

Lyrics

After days of slogging in the office...

Boy you would wish to have a bed you can lie on. Fortunately, there's one beside me now as I blog this with my lappie.

The past week has been a crazy one (work-related) while there's some sweet moments (with my dear sweetie ;) ).

Sleeping at only around 4 hours a day, what's worse that a designer can encounter? Mental blocks!!! Damn straight~ That is a "health hazards" to all you loaded-with-gallons-of-creative-juice people out there.

I myself, have been mentally stumped by some unseen forces, rejections all over the place... that sometimes it does felt a little disheartening.

Oh well... this could mean I needa pull up my socks that "might have already slipped away from my feet". Gotta take this coming week's holidays to go pump my brain's juice tank to full.

Ahh... after I post this blog up~ I better go catch some sleep. Been freaking myself in the morning to look into the mirror to see a huge arse panda in it.

Till then, God Speed!

Happy Valentine's Day!

On the 14th February, morning, I woke up late for work thanks to the late night that I burnt on the previous night. But it's all good and took a cab down to work just in time to pass my boss our company's CD portfolio that was the reason I burnt my late night for.

Throughout the day, I'm troubling with my book cover design for SNEC. Inspiration is at an all time low which I need to get it back fast, or my Thailand trip will be toasted. Haiz... even at this time I'm blogging this, I'm still sketching out the cover design as well as an advertisement to go with the book. >.<

Anyhow, everything's going slow for the day until at the end of the day. Work just managed to pile at the time when I most wanted to leave. So had to stay to settle them all (well not quite, hence I'm working as I blog this at home!).

It was a mad rush trying to get a taxi to meet her and trying to get past the traffic is like you're trying to swim through oatmeals to get the other side. So I had to alight the taxi in the middle of the traffic and sprint across to find her.

Well anyway, we ended up in Essential Brew and had a fantastic dinner. We chatted and took some pictures for the night. Here it is:

Anyhow, it was a fantastic night and made me forget about what I need to do at the moment. Well, I don't know how corny this is, but I'll say it here anyway: "Now is the time I wish time had stopped forever."

Ahh... and now, to get back to reality, it's time to hurry with the sketches and get the design up before morning.

Till then~

Monday, Bloody Monday!

First, it is the blues that I'm suffering. And now I've forgotten to bring my hard disk to work. LOL no wonder I call myself BK, acronym for Blur King! Wee~

Anyhow, it's gonna be quite a long day ahead for me after I'm going back home for my hard disk during lunch hours. Sheeesh~ there goes $3 of my travel fares.

Whose Line Is It Anyway? - Weird Newscasters

Improv comedy at its best! Enjoy! Don't forget to laugh! :)

Is it difficult to be positive?

While on the way to have dinner, my friends and I were talking about blogging. We were all commenting on one of my friend's blog entries that starts to get negative progressively. Then someone commented that it is possibly easier to remember and comment on negative things than the positive ones that happens to you.

Oh well... it's true there's a tendency to remember all of the old bad times that we had in our earlier lives.

It's just like my mum who usually starts to reminisce about the past of herself and my dad. Well... doing that once in a while is pretty cool in my opinion as you also remember some of the good parts of the memories, but taking the reminiscing into negative self-pity and blames, is so the-other-side of the story.

Why do we always dwell in unhappy things that happens and overlook the good things that we have experienced?

So many people have succumbed to the effects of stress as a result of themselves embracing these negative thoughts and disregard the happiness that might already be too oblivious for them to take notice of...

"I will not see sad faces again! I must spread joy to everyone I meet." This is what I believed and I would often try to cheer anyone around me up so that they don't dwell too much into their negativity and be reminded that there're more stuffs they can do instead of wallowing at their state. Hence I'd rather be the laughing point of everyone than to witness my friends being dejected by the bad things.

I know it might be impossible to eliminate all of the negativity, but I'd at least liked to reduce the effects as much as possible.

We are so obsessed with the doors that closed in front of us that we do not see other doors of opportunities that might have opened for us out of our line of sight.

Stuck In A Moment (You Can't Get Out Of) - U2

Lyrics

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

Dedicated to my beloved one.

Lyrics

Babel

Went to watch this movie with my sweetie at GV Plaza on a wonderful Friday night.

The messages that the movie is trying to bring across are somewhat powerful. How things are related to one another even if we are in different parts of the world, whether we are blood related or not, or of the different races or the colour of our skins or even whether you are disabled or not.

Somehow this coincides very much with my own outlook in life.

Ultimately, we are all still just human beings in different shape and sizes. Looking beyond the boundaries that sets us apart. We are part of this world.

I believe we are all the jigsaw pieces that build up to this world. Be it plants, the animals, whatever we do will eventually bring about some changes and reactions from the adjacent pieces all round the whole jigsaw puzzle. Even one simple action will lead to different results and impacts on others, subtly or not.

I shall not discuss too much of that movie so as not to spoil it for you guys. Go watch it and figure out the movie yourself. You get to see a big picture as the movie progresses til the end.

Thing About Horoscope

Hmmm... As you can see from my previous post, that's an analysis of my personal characteristics based on my birth date.

I can tell you guys one thing. It is pretty accurate and convincing from the way they described me as an emotional roller coaster. I have to admit, I'm a very emotional person and would tend to cry in the movies. ;)

Take for the recent Japanese drama my friend shared with me, One Litre of Tears.

This drama is about a teenage girl who has contracted a strange incurable neurodegenerative disease. It shows how she, against the odds of her fast-progressing disease to try to leave as normally as she could.

Quotes from each of the 11 episodes are simply tears-inducing. Her struggle and despair reminded me of my dad who passed on 26th August 2006. His neurodegenerative disease took only 1 year to take him away from us.

Hmmm... you can imagine I'm in a teary mess when I'm watching the drama.

Anyhow, what I've learnt from the drama is that our life is full of uncertainty and we should live everyday of our lives to the fullest, and have no regrets to whatever you do.

It's sometimes hard for you to cheer up, and your gloom can be contagious.

Your strength: Your warm heart

Your weakness: Trouble controlling your emotions

Your power color: Black

Your power symbol: Musical note

Your power month: February

One Friday Morning.

Oh! It's the last day of the week, and I'm having mixed feelings now. I'm happy it's the end of the week means I can spend time with my loved ones, slack off at home and play my MMORPG game. But then, being at the end of the week signifies just the end of another vicious cycle of an entire work week.

Work loads are gonna pile up all the way to the ceiling next week since the office I'm working at closes for the week of the Chinese New Year. It's pretty funny now that the hype to the CNY is no longer as it used to be for me. Things just seemed so mundane to me now. It has already lost its meaning for me. It just doesn't seemed to be me anymore.

What is going on??? I'd like to find out too. Anyway, I'll be going overseas with my mum and my sis' family during that holiday week. Let's see if I can find out any answers what is happening to the subtle change in me that's starting to erupt from within my shell.

In the mean time, wish you fellow bloggers "Happy Chinese New Year" and stay prosperous and safe over the holidays.

So till then, will keep you posted in this little corner of the Web.

Chase or Be Chased?

Recently I've just started my vocal lessons. Bringing my mp3s over to my coach's house and picked one of the songs to start practising pitching with.

There were so many to choose from since they're from my own player and ultimately, I decided on using Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol as my starting piece. Besides the point that this song is somewhat simpler for practise, there are sentimental reasons behind why I chose the song.

"Would you lie with me and just forget the world?"

How I wish I can do that... It's pretty tiring to deal with the issues that are happening.. 24/7. Will it be, what we called greed, to ask for a moment to just lie down and forget about everything around you?

Pretty hard... I know.

There's always someone who are so dear to you, you take things for granted and overlook the importance and the significance of that one person is, to your life. We need to stop and think it through again. Or you might not get a second chance to regain that precious, lost treasure...
